About LWLCA
The Lake Wisconsin Land and Community Alliance, Inc. (LWLCA) brings landowners, families, farmers, neighbors, and communities together in a unified effort to protect Wisconsin’s land, homes, natural resources, and way of life from the impacts of high-voltage transmission projects.
Our Mission
The Lake Wisconsin Land and Community Alliance, Inc. (LWLCA) brings landowners, families, farmers, neighbors, and communities together in a unified effort to protect Wisconsin’s land, homes, natural resources, and way of life from the impacts of high-voltage transmission projects.
Through education, collaboration, advocacy, and strong community action, we stand together to ensure that local voices are heard and that responsible alternatives are considered. Together, we stand united: 765kV Line. Nope!
Our Vision
A Lake Wisconsin region whose working farms, trout waters, wetlands, bluffs, and rural communities pass intact to the next generation.
We envision energy infrastructure that is genuinely needed, following existing utility, highway, and railroad corridors, as Wisconsin law directs, and a process where the people who live with the consequences of infrastructure decisions have a full, documented, and respected voice in making them.
We support adherence to Wisconsin State Statutes 1.12(6), 196.25, and 182.017(7).
Help Protect Our Communities
LWLCA depends on the support of landowners, residents, and neighbors who share our commitment to protecting Wisconsin’s land, communities, and property rights.
Your contribution helps support legal representation, education, outreach, research, and the work required to keep residents informed and engaged.
Who We Represent
LWLCA represents landowners, families, farmers, neighbors, and communities throughout the Lake Wisconsin region who may be affected by high-voltage transmission projects and related decisions.
Our goal is to bring people together, share reliable information, and make sure local concerns are heard throughout the process.
Legal Representation
LWLCA is represented by attorney Erik Olsen of Eminent Domain Services, LLC.
Legal representation helps the organization and affected landowners better understand property rights, project procedures, and the issues that may arise as the BECI Project moves forward.
What We Are Working For
LWLCA is working to protect Wisconsin’s land, homes, farms, natural resources, and communities while advocating for a fair and transparent process.
We support responsible transmission planning, meaningful consideration of existing utility, highway, and railroad corridors, and a process that gives affected residents and landowners a full and respected voice.
Our efforts focus on education, collaboration, advocacy, and community action so that residents can stay informed, understand their options, and participate effectively in decisions that may affect their property and communities.
