What is the BECI Project
The BECI Project is a proposed approximately 190-mile, 765-kilovolt transmission line that would cross southern Wisconsin from Crawford County to Walworth County before continuing to the state line.
The project would introduce transmission infrastructure on a scale not currently seen in Wisconsin, including large towers and extensive new corridors. LWLCA is working to help residents and landowners understand the proposal, its potential impacts, and the questions surrounding its need, routing, and cost.
